A global day of giving that is celebrated annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday is a way for people to give back to their local community through volunteer service, financial donation, or the power of their voice. On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, The Jobs Partnership is joining the Giving Tuesday movement by welcoming volunteers to help change lives by giving generously of their time, talent, and treasure in our LifeWorks Training program.
Changing Lives for the Better
Our LifeWorks Training transforms the chronically underemployed and economically trapped by empowering, encouraging, and elevating their workplace attitudes and setting them on a path to discover the job they were made for. You can strengthen your community by volunteering at LifeWorks Training in these four important areas.
- Coaching- The driving force of our LifeWorks Training, volunteer coaches guide and mentor LifeWorks students in their personal development and pursuit of a career.
- Signature Events- Volunteers can sign-up to assist as greeters, parking directors, or at the registration desk during our evening resource fair, career fair and graduation.
- One-Time Opportunities- Volunteers with professional experience in teaching, administration, human resources, or project management are sought for individual sessions that include instruction, interview coaching, personal shopping, and data entry, among others.
- Prayer Team- For a more flexible Giving Tuesday schedule, our prayer support team seeks volunteers to pray for the board, staff, students, partners, volunteers, and donors of the Jobs Partnership.
