Since 1999, the Jobs Partnership has been helping men and women from under-resourced communities unlock a better job and a better life. As president of the organization, Marc Stanakis is responsible for fundraising and developing strategic partnerships with churches, businesses, and community organizations in support of the of the 12-week LifeWorks training classes that that prepares for life and work with biblical principles. He left a 16-year career in the credit reporting industry to pursue a “second half” career of personal significance.

Upon graduation from the University of Central Florida in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Marc Stanakis served in several different roles at Credit Data Services, an affiliate of TRW Information Services (now known as Experian) from 1983 to 1995.  He progressed to the role of Branch Manager in Orlando, with responsibility for the operation and sales effort for a seven-county area in Central Florida.  While attending UCF, he also spent four years with Equifax.

After a completing a two-year organizational development project at Northland Church, in 1999, Marc was recruited to serve as the Vice President of Faith-Based Organizations for the WorkForce 2020 project at the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce.  Marc was responsible for engaging the faith community as a recruiting and retention solution for the massive transition of people leaving the welfare system to enter the workforce.  It was during this 3-year, State of Florida funded workforce project that Marc discovered the Jobs Partnership model in Raleigh, North Carolina and successfully implemented 4 pilot classes that are the centerpiece of this church-business collaboration.

Marc is a member of the Greater Orlando Society for Human Resource Management and also serves on the local workforce advisory board for Orange Technical College and the Deacons Committee for the Central Florida Presbytery. He is a past president of the University of Central Florida Alumni Association and a graduate of Leadership Orlando and Lifework Leadership.  Marc is an active member and ruling elder at Orangewood Church in Maitland.
